Dr. Kevin O'Connor, the former White House physician, gave little new information to House investigators during a closed-door deposition. O'Connor pleaded the Fifth to multiple questions, and the deposition ended abruptly.

According to House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, when O'Connor was asked whether he was told to lie about Biden's health, he opted to plead the Fifth rather than answer the question.

According to lawyers for O'Connor, he pleaded the Fifth due to concerns that the scope of the investigation could violate patient-physician privilege, and they've reportedly asked for the House probe to be paused.

O'Connor's lawyers said in a statement that "Dr. O'Connor will not violate his oath of confidentiality to any of his patients, including President Biden."

Chairman Comer says this just makes things look even worse for the former President, who since 2020 has faced questions about his mental and physical health. Comer said, "It is unprecedented, and I think that this adds more fuel to the fire that there was a cover-up."
